What is a Virtual Assistant, or Virtual PA?
A Virtual Assistant / Virtual PA (VA) is a professional who works remotely to help support you with a variety of business needs. They perform all the roles that a PA/EA would provide in an office setting but instead virtually.

Will you be able to guide me through the process?
Of course, we can help. We understand that working with a Virtual PA might be new for many businesses. With blueumbrella, you are in safe and experienced hands, our Business Manager will ensure a smooth onboarding between you and your VA.
How do you charge?
Our pricing structure is clear and simple. We have an hourly rate and charge by the minute. All our VAs accurately track their time.
Am I tied into a contract?
No, you can stop the service at any time.
Can I have a trial period?
Yes, you can. However, as you are not tied into a contract, we tend to find these unnecessary. Depending on the complexity of your requirements, or the scope of your campaign or project, it can take differing amounts of time for your VA to get completely ‘up to speed’ and understand your business. Sometimes you won’t see all the benefits in a shorter time.
Is it possible to change my virtual assistant?
It is possible to change VAs if you feel that your initial VA is not a good match. Just give us a call and we can arrange a smooth handover.
Why don’t you offer packages like some other VAs?
We like to keep things simple and just have our hourly rate – this means that you aren’t paying for any hours that you don’t need.
I’m interested in becoming a VA, are you able to help?
If you have at least 5 years’ Board Level experience with a reputable organisation as a PA, please email us through the website so that we can arrange a chat.
Do you have a special rate for not-for-profit organisations?
Yes, we do. We work with numerous charities and not-for-profit organisations. Please contact us to find out more.
What are you looking for in a VA?
We only work with the very best, and require the very highest level of PA skills as a minimum. Our VAs are confident, experienced, proactive professionals. If you have a specific skill e.g. content generation, social media management we would also be interested in speaking to you.
